At first, I sold my products to clients at tradeshows and took a few orders through my own website, but when I started selling directly to consumers through eBay and FBA it was a real challenge! There was a point where I almost lost two of my biggest wholesale accounts after I ran out supplies and couldn’t fulfill their orders. I’m really organized, and have systems for everything, but I just couldn’t keep track of it on my own anymore. I was finally like okay, spreadsheets aren’t working! I need automation. I need something that will track my supply levels and inventory my finished products
When Donna started manufacturing cameras and photography equipment, she did it because she felt she could make something that was better than what was already on the market. Her innovation in the field has created a faithful following for her products.
SkuVault helps Donna grow her business now that she sells directly to consumers by giving her the automation that her business needs. Replenishment Reports give Donna details about inventory levels, and let her know before she runs out of a supply that she needs to reorder. She creates POs from the reports and sends them directly to her suppliers.
Donna uses SkuVault’s Serialization feature to assign serial numbers to each individual unit in her warehouse. This is really helpful when Donna receives defective units from consumers. She can easily reference the serial number to take the appropriate next steps to keep her customers happy.
She could have lost a big portion of her business when she ran out of supplies to fulfill her wholesale orders, but Donna chose SkuVault. SkuVault helped Donna automate her inventory so that she could focus on building a better product and an even bigger following.
Bill is wholesaling his own brand of retro motorcycle parts
I’m worried about these smaller operations. Even though we design a lot of our parts in-house, it’s hard to stay competitive these days. My sons and I built this business from the ground up, and there’s no one who can compete with our quality, expertise, or service. But you really pay to play in these online marketplaces and the way things are constantly changing you need an edge that allows you to deal in volume. I need a solution that helps me keep up without the headache or cost of hiring ten extra guys.
Bill is an avid hobbyist with a passion for building and restoring cars and bikes. He’s been at this a long time and knows more about his industry than anyone. He’s been in wholesale for almost 50 years and has seen a lot of change. He owes his success to his ability to adapt quickly.
SkuVault makes it easier for Bill to adapt. He uses SkuVault’s Assembled Product Kits because he frequently bundles products like LED lights to be sold as case packs. Bill then uses SkuVault’s advanced reporting tools to tell him which kits should be pre-assembled and on-hand, ready for fulfillment.
SkuVault is the only warehouse management software in eCommerce that is capable of handling alternate line items, and that helps Bill stay competitive. The feature allows Bill to set a cost priority relationship for an interchangeable component item within a kit and allows him to replace items with an alternate component if he runs out of an item to prevent out of stocks and make sure he never misses a sale.
Without SkuVault, Bill would have trouble adapting and competing in online markets, but now his business runs like a well-oiled machine.
Isaac is selling designer clothes and shoes both online and in his storefront
I was definitely excited about the opportunity, but FBA is fast-paced, unpredictable, and filled with constant change. The rewards are great, but the stakes are high when you invest a significant amount of your inventory into it. At that same time, I was expanding to a second warehouse and opening up an online shop on my own website. I knew that accuracy and speed were so important to surviving on FBA and just as important to scaling my business across multiple channels, and keeping my customers happy.
Selling on eBay and Amazon, Isaac built up good vendor relationships and was beginning to grow a loyal customer base. Managing inventory between sales channels could get a little confusing from time to time, but nothing that he couldn't handle. Then FBA happened.
SkuVault gives him the tools that he needs to survive, like FBA Picklists. The picklists can be sent over for Seller Central to break up the shipment to specific warehouse locations for him to send his inventory to. This allows his pickers to develop a gameplan once they’ve finished picking for which quantities need to go to specific FBA warehouse locations.
When Isaac opened his flagship brick-and-mortar store, he was able to use the SkuVault/Shopify POS integration and list inventory that was in his store online. So, when a customer purchased a product in-store, the online quantity was automatically updated to reflect the available quantity.
Isaac’s business could have survived for a few more years without SkuVault, but he would have never been able to thrive across multiple sales channel while maintaining his standing as an FBA seller. SkuVault has allowed him to easily sell on an increasingly larger scale while reducing labor costs and time.
Min-ho is printing-to-order his clients' vitamins and supplements
The way it works is that I produce a generic line of vitamins, and then brand them as my clients dictate. My clients have vitamins listed on their websites and in various marketplaces, and when the orders come in I print out labels, brand, and then package them. I don’t have to worry about losing money on a bunch of branded products sitting around that don’t sell. The problem is that with print-to-order, it’s almost like I don’t have one business; I have many. I needed something that was going to unite all of my sales, shipping, and printing processes back into one cohesive business.
Min-ho looked for an industry and business model that he knew would be profitable without a lot of startup costs. He knew he could capture a significant amount of the vitamin and supplement market if he could sell his product to lots of other businesses instead of just in his own. Min-ho’s plan worked. He was a natural salesman and saw a huge amount of success.
Min-ho uses the SkuVault Sales feature to import sales from all of his clients who use Amazon, Shopify, Channel Advisor, Shipworks, and more into one place. This allows Min-ho's employees to focus on filling orders as quickly as they come in.
SkuVault also helps Min-ho with order fulfillment with its Shipping feature because it integrates with all of his shipping applications. There are options for everything he needs including invoices, pick list, and packing lists.
Without SkuVault Min-ho’s employees would have to use lots of different types of software to handle all the orders coming in from different clients. With Skuvault, Min-ho is able to step away from warehouse operations and concentrate on gaining market more share.

Daily deals were a big deal for us when we first started doing them. We were like, wow, this could really change things - we can move product so fast! But it was super time consuming. It would slow everything down every time we were on Amazon Daily Deals or Groupon. I had one employee whose only job was to figure out what items we could put on the daily deals, and then have my warehouse guys pull it and set it aside before the sale, so we didn’t accidentally sell it somewhere else. It just wasn’t the best way of doing things.
After leaving her job, Lucy made some contacts and was able to start buying closeout and selling on daily deal and flash sale sites. She loved how daily deals made enjoying the outdoors more affordable for everyone.
Lucy is able to do even more daily deals thanks to SkuVault’s Hold feature. It allows her to place a temporary hold on SKUs. The hold removes the quantities from other marketplaces, so she doesn’t have to worry about stockouts. When the deal is over, SkuVault automatically places the quantities back on the other marketplaces.
Buying and selling inventory fast is great for cash flow, but bad for order accuracy. Now that she uses SkuVault’s Quality Control feature, her packers can scan items to check for accuracy before they’re shipped out. SkuVault shows her packers a picture of the product and lets them know that they’re sending the right item out.
Before SkuVault, Lucy had a hard time moving inventory as rapidly as she wanted. With SkuVault, she can set aside SKUs at the click of a button so she can put more inventory on daily deals sites, and move product as quickly as she wants.
Daily deals got you down? See what SkuVault can do for you!
